Privacy Policy
Effective June 26, 2026 Version 4
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how GrepForge Solutions Inc. ("GrepForge", "we", "us") handles your personal information when you visit grepforge.com, use the TickForge application, or interact with our support channels. GrepForge is a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada.
We take a data-minimization approach: we collect only what we need to operate the Services, we do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use third-party analytics that profile you.
What we collect
On grepforge.com
This corporate site collects only what you choose to send us through the contact form:
- Email address.
- The text you write in the contact-form message body.
We do not log your IP address against your form submission. We do not fingerprint your browser. We do not use third-party analytics on this site.
On tickforge.app
This Privacy Policy also covers tickforge.app, the TickForge product and subscription website, which is operated by the same company. tickforge.app does not publish a separate privacy notice — it links here. On tickforge.app we collect:
- Your email address, to create and manage your TickForge subscription and to send transactional email (receipts, account and security notices).
- Billing information, handled directly by our third-party payment processor. GrepForge does not store full payment card numbers.
In the TickForge application
The TickForge desktop application stores only your application settings — watchlists, layouts, hotkey scripts, and connection preferences — on your own machine.
TickForge does not store your trading data in any form. Your executed orders, positions, profit and loss, account balances, and funds live with your broker, Interactive Brokers. TickForge only displays that information while you are connected, and never saves it or sends it to us. Your connection to Interactive Brokers runs locally, between the application and your own TWS or IB Gateway, and GrepForge does not receive any of it.
Why we collect it
- Email — to reply to your inquiry, send transactional emails (e.g., receipts on tickforge.app, contact-form confirmations on grepforge.com), and operate the Services.
- Contact-form body — to respond to your question.
How long we keep it
- Contact-form submissions are retained for up to 24 months from the date of the message, then deleted, unless we need a longer period to comply with a legal obligation or to resolve an ongoing matter you raised.
- Billing and account information on tickforge.app is governed by this Policy and by our payment processor's retention rules.
Service providers
We use a small number of third-party service providers to operate the Services — for transactional email delivery, payment and subscription billing, website and application hosting, and domain and DNS. Each is engaged under data-processing terms and handles only the personal information necessary for its role. Our payment processor receives your billing data directly; GrepForge does not store full payment card numbers.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties other than these service providers, except where required by law.
Cookies and tracking
This site (grepforge.com) does not use third-party tracking cookies and does not deploy advertising pixels. The site uses only the cookies strictly necessary to operate Django's session and CSRF protection on administrative pages.
We do not participate in cross-site behavioral advertising. We do not honor Do-Not-Track headers in any special way because we do not track.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion — ask us to delete information we hold about you, subject to legal-retention obligations.
- Portability — receive your information in a structured format.
- Object or withdraw consent — where processing relies on consent or legitimate interest, ask us to stop.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@grepforge.com from the address associated with your information. We will respond within 30 days.
EU/UK residents: under the GDPR/UK GDPR, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Canada residents: PIPEDA (and any applicable provincial law) governs your interactions with us.
International transfers
Our infrastructure providers and we are located in jurisdictions including Canada, the United States, and the European Union. By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred across borders. We rely on standard contractual clauses and our providers' data-processing terms to safeguard those transfers.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support@grepforge.com and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls on production systems, and least-privilege accounts. No method is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The new effective date will appear at the top of this page and the version number will be incremented. Material changes that affect existing users will be communicated by email where appropriate.
